Imparting Your Calling by Krystyana Lux
Welcome to your first heart to heart here on The Called's newly launched home-base. Speaking for everyone here, at The Called Company, we could not be more optimistic for this journey we are about to embark on with you. If you haven't read our story, here's the short: we are here to shine light on the Body of Christ from a new angle, ultimately working to help you find fulfillment within the cross.
The Called platform is an extension of the Lord's Kingdom — a community, outside of the church, enabling you to be authentic and vulnerable in your faith regardless of where you may stand.
Now, I have never been one to see the door wide open, and looking for the path set before me seemed nearly impossible. I struggled to create balance with a dream that no longer fit my story and a disease that appeared to have absolute control. I felt lost in my identity; until, I shifted my heart away from myself and towards the Lord, repeatedly preaching John 3:30, "He must increase, but I must decrease."
During that hardship, I saw finding my calling as being more than a one-way street; and instead, as a communal relationship with God. I realized that I identified myself with the falsehood of hopelessness, and in turn, built up walls that ultimately blocked out the light of the Kingdom.
But here's the thing, these walls that we've built up can be knocked down. They're not holding us back from imparting our calling — our fear of walking into the unknown is. You see, we have to be willing to invest in the Kingdom wholeheartedly and trust the path before us because our mission, our identity is rooted into the Cross; and as we make headway in our faith, we make progress with our calling.
That is, the more we pursue His everlasting goodness, the more we'll find fulfillment in not only our stewardship but our identity as well. For what He has ingrained in our hearts was created according to His purpose; "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth." Ephesians 1:3-10
Instead of questioning our placement and affording the lies of the enemy an opportunity to dwell, we need to become steadfast to our identity in the Cross. Ultimately, we were chosen and given a glorious inheritance.
The only question is, are you living up to your calling?
